In 2009, Safety 1st wanted to launch it’s new technology as a sub-brand. My team met with R&D to understand the engineering and the impact it could have on the market. We had a very aggressive schedule that went from initial meet to store shelves in 7 months. The name changed halfway through the process but we remained on schedule. This was the first black box in the baby space. The team received a GDUSA Packaging Award for this work in 2010.
